"Food For Good" participated in the launching ceremony of "Food For Good Ambassador Programme".
The launching ceremony of "Food For Good Ambassador Programme" was held at Sha Tin New Town Plaza on 14 September, 2014. The programme was aimed at raising girls' awareness of the proper ways to handle food waste. Mrs. Regina Leung Tong Ching-yee, President of the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association and Founder & Patron of Food For Good, and Mrs Daisy C F HO, Chief Commissioner of the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association, were officiating guests. They were accompanied by Prof. Joe Leung Cho-bun, MH, JP, Chairman of Food For Good and Mr. Jonathan Wong Chee-hynn when officiating at the launching ceremony. All the guests joined the oath-taking ceremony. Renowned chefs Mr. Kenny Chan and Mr. Jeremy Biasiol demonstrated how to use edible surplus food to create healthy dishes. Mr. Jonathan Wong Chee-hynn shared his experience in green dining. He also played games with the citizens in the venue. A food waste processor operated using solar power and an "aquaponics machine" were displayed in the venue. Display boards and booths were also set up.
